Time to update this. My day was made very early on, when I received the last comment (Bodomi) on this page. http://www.modplug.com/mods/nrdetail.php3?session=&detailno=10894
Between classes (I now have an hour break between lectures, which is very nice indeed) we went in to the Chemistry computer lab and just wasted time there for an hour. I've now used Linux for the first time - it looks tolerable enough, just Windows with fluffy bits.
An afternoon was spent wasted in front of the computer. The Daily Click's improving - last time I went there it produced a Catastrophic Error ("Would that cause your computer to explode?" - David Bean), but now it's been downgraded to a Runtime Error. Still doesn't work, though. Dinner saw the return of Sticky Toffee Pudding, one of the main reasons for living in Halls.
One of the main reasons against living in halls happened tonight as well - a fire alarm. I was halfway down the front path when it happened, on my way to the Chemsoc cheese and wine evening, so I wasn't part of it <¦-) I couldn't have picked a better time to leave, really, and just walked calmly away as everyone rushed out of the fire exits. Bad luck, everyone.
