The Great Aberdeenshire Trip
May. 12th, 2004 11:01 pmMust revise! ...After I write this.
Today was the most eventful in a while. Driven by Paul, Bryn, Sleigh and I went up to the Northeast to view its impressive collection of meaningful rocks - among them the Maiden Stone and the Easter Aquwhateveryoucallit stone circle, along with the famous Bass down the road from my house (which is like Inverurie's gigantic version of the Melville mound, except without the traffic cones).
We visited Sleigh's home and had a very good meal cooked by his mother (thanks for that), then walked around the farm for a while and saw a lot of incredibly surprised pigs. I then crammed myself full of apple pie and we left.
As planned, I rather surprised my family as well by visiting them with everyone. My sister seemed strangely unshocked by three strangers in the kitchen, but incredibly surprised to then see me.
The sides of my face still hurt from laughing at the battle of wits that Sleigh and my brother Richard seemed to be having - it's odd, Richard normally disappears when people he doesn't know are round, but he seemed to get on very well with him. I get the feeling it's because he's met his match as far as entertainingly insulting people is concerned.
We even got a dinner of sausages and chips there, which I wasn't expecting. My parents are great! :)
Anyway, that was a quick update and I will now read about the various types of Schrödinger's Law. (Nothing to do with the cat.)
