The hunt for something to do on Sunday
Oct. 3rd, 2004 06:06 pmAndrew Melville has been attacked with Sinner flyers, thanks to me and an army of first years which I roped in to assist. Melville seems to be quite the place for Sinners, so let's hope for a massive amount of new people this time, and not quite so many idiots.
My afternoon was spent experimenting with the MindStorms kit that I took home from the honours project meeting on Thursday, and I managed to produce this.

The name isn't exactly representative of the vehicle itself, and to be honest most of the pieces are largely superfluous. But it can move forwards and backwards a bit. There should be no problem teaching it how to dance... I think.
I'm also trying to put together my talk on computers and the music industry (and how the rise of MP3 was declared the end of the music industry, and wasn't) but it's tougher going than I thought. It's difficult to put enough information on slides to remind myself what to talk about, but not so much that I don't speak freely.
Dinner was cheap today - sandwiches and doughnuts were reduced at Tesco, so I picked up a lot of each. I'm now eyeing them hungrily until I can't stand not eating them any longer.
This was rather a dull entry, looking back at it. Still, hooray for me.
