One week of work to go...
Nov. 1st, 2004 01:32 pmI've decided that someone needs to compile a recording entitled "All the Bizarre Noises that James McKinna Makes During Lectures". Friday morning's performance of acting annoyance by throwing his head back and going "whuaghlaghlaghu" was quite impressive, though slightly frightening as well - it topped all the usual growl/grunt hybrids that he comes out with when he finds out that a portion of his notes is wrong.
I got the mark back for the Software Engineering practical - the one which I resignedly submitted early with the knowledge that I knew it was garbage and there wasn't anything I could do to make it any less garbageful. Well, I got a grade 19 for it, so it seems that I'm much better at writing drivel than at first I thought. The document was certainly putting the Ponce-O-Meter in Word (or, as Microsoft calls it, the Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level) up to breaking point. That usually only goes past about 7 when it's a real emergency and you start using words like "juxtapose".
This Flash is one of the best beginners' projects that I've seen in a while. It's pretty strange, but the ending is fantastic.
One of the louder Americans stood up and gave a rendition of "I'm A Little Teapot" at lunch today, apparently because he lost a bet. This hall's weird.
