Let's be fair to Andrew Melville, the meals have been rather good so far. And when I say "rather good" I mean "not absolutely hopeless", but I'm sure they'll deteriorate before too long.

After going along with a huge crowd (all right, about ten) to Amanda and Iaiaiaiain's, we came back and watched Braindead again. When looking at the back of the box I realised that I really didn't want to watch it, and told myself I would hang on until the bit with the ninja priest. It's such a shame that he dies so early on, he's the best bit of the film. Actually, Sarah came back at the bit when the mother squishes the evil stop-frame animated monkey, so I just decided to stay on in case me bottling out would give her an excuse to leave (and a very good excuse at that). I just sort of stared blankly at the wall and listened until the Lawnmower Man arrived.

I know it's not exactly realistic anyway, but if I just keep telling myself it's not real, and just red gunk being sprayed around, I can just about cope with it. Bleurgh.
