That Cadbury advert was around until about the mid-90s and had been away for a while, but it's nice to know that we've lost none of our old touch and have now brought it back, 40 feet high, broadcasting confusing feelings to an entire new generation.

Oddly enough, there's something about the more human body shape (she seems to have lost a lot of her more lapine qualities in the last fifteen years) that makes her feel oddly androgynous in that shot you've taken, at least to me. Maybe it's the lipstick combined with the flat-chest-but-no-bikini that does it?

On the other hand, she's in great shape for someone who's been subsisting off caramel for the last decade and a half. Maybe she knows something I don't. :P

I'd seen that mentioned before, but didn't want to say - the lipstick definitely puts it over the edge, I think! Combined with the lack of... figure that I now expect to see on anthro rabbits... well, if there's an influx of transvestite macrophiles from England a few years from now, we'll know where it came from.

She/it does not appeal to me (http://aristophains.livejournal.com/188512.html). I like the fact that your photograph has a red light between us and the bunny: appropriate in more ways than one.

I only noticed the red lights (complete with pointing arrows) after I put up the picture - I couldn't have set that up better...!

Her redesign is certainly... misguided compared to her older, curvier version (the lipstick is particularly off, though it's much more noticeable in the scans you linked to in your post), but seeing this broadcast of pure macrophilia first thing after coming back to Britain was hilarious nonetheless.

And, looking backwards through your posts, I hadn't noticed that they had dropped the 's until you mentioned it. Is this something else that went wrong with the country as soon as I left it three years ago, or did it happen well before that?

Sorry for my delay in replying. Something is certainly wrong in the UK when a fish finger suddenly has more sex appeal (http://tellyads.com/show_movie.php?filename=TA8629) than the Caramel Bunny. But Cadbury's change to Cadbury happened back in early 2003. It was one of the subjects I covered on the ranting page of my old website: the page was made obsolete once I got myself a blog in which to rant, but there's an archived copy here (http://web.archive.org/web/20030830100554/http://hometown.aol.co.uk/neelds/What.htm).

Oddly enough I also saw that advert during the highly compressed catching-up of British TV I watched when there last week (courtesy of Dave), and it took several hours for my jaw to return to the rest of my face. If the Cadbury rabbit sent my mentality down an enormously wrong path, I can only imagine what that's going to do to the next generation. (Additionally, I just noticed this when I saw the video again - are those fish fingers Vic and Bob?)

I'll watch you, you seem to have the ranting style that has a shared appreciation among the overly irritable. And with Knightmare as an interest you can't go wrong.
