Masterfully, now that I'm on the bumpy road to recovering from last week's disaster, a case of swine flu has been discovered in the building where I work.

It's just as well I've been too sickly to actually get there for the last couple of working weeks. I imagine it's going to be pretty deserted for a while.

The good news about swine flu is it's pretty much just this year's flu, plus undeserved media panic.

The bad news is that it's still the flu.

There have been 8 confirmed cases at my university and my dad's school has had its first, too. Much to his disappointment they aren't closing it down for the summer. (Pfff.)

I'm not sure if I should be worried that, as insane as that explanation should be, it actually seems to make perfect sense to me. I imagine to most people it's like explaining addition by comparing it to particle physics.
