Further cake experiments

In the interests of science, I convinced Whitney to help me put together a short video demonstrating some other properties (besides edibility and alphabetizability) of the cakettes that I mentioned in my last entry.

I may have taken slight advantage of the fact that she had a cold and was just up, so her brain's what-the-hell-are-you-doing department had not yet engaged. The sudden application of force caused the week-old cake to basically vaporize into a dust storm of rock-solid microparticles, which I'm still picking out of the corners of the flat. I think that given enough maturing time, they could be used as fairly lethal projectiles.

Oh, my god, that was beautifully done. I really laughed out loud. :)

So, wait, are you saying the cake wasn't just knocked to one side? It totally shattered?

You can just about see two individual pieces flying off at the moment of impact, away from the on-screen crumbs, and the noises after that are of those two pieces impacting on the walls, floor and occasionally ceiling and breaking up Asteroids-style.

I think I eventually recovered enough cake to account for about half of the original block.
