That's even better than our check from the state of Georgia, paying us for interest on our tax return - it was less than the cost of the postage to send it to us (and when you factor in employee time and materials, even more ridiculous).

At least, like in this case, they were giving you a payment rather than spending those vast amounts of money trying to get you to pay a few cents. In the collection of newspaper cuttings that I had up on my wall in university, there's one about someone being summoned to court by a computer that noticed she had underpaid her gas bill by four pence.
