Strawberries and pineapples and grapes

These are becoming something of a yearly tradition for us, and I think this is the best kind of Valentine's present. It's attractive, edible, not even unhealthy, comes with a vase that you can re-use, and once some of the fruit has been removed, would make a fairly decent spiked weapon if the need ever arose for it.

We spent the evening with an Indian meal that's as close as we have been able to find to British-Indian, working through the above fruitful bouquet, and re-watching Music and Lyrics, which is not a girly film so shut up.

You should watch "Never Let Me Go". It's very sad, but it has a hilarious 5 second shot of Melville which Ally and I enjoyed. He did cry at the end though. I was crying buckets.

I just saw that film last night. Not knowing a thing of what was happening for 25 minutes, then slammed into it, was creepy.

In that case - do you remember those couple of seconds that the rehabilitation centre was on the screen? I used to live there. (I should point out that it is not actually a rehabilitation centre.)

It does look rather "futuristic". So what is it, exactly? Townhomes, or a Dormitory, perhaps?

Also: NDP (http://www.ndp.ca/) carries a different connotation up here.

It's student accommodation at the University of St Andrews - Andrew Melville Hall, or Melville. Or indeed Hellville. It's notable for somehow managing to obtain listed building status despite its remarkable ugliness.

I'm sort of hesitant to ask how not associated with that political party one would hope to be...!

You see, I prefer to surround myself with things of relentless cheerfulness like the film I mentioned above. I had been disappointed to hear that Melville's role in Never Let Me Go was equivalent to just staring at the previous photo of what to me looks like a really terrible Monty Python-style "sheet over the head" disguise for five seconds.

That looks delicious - strawberries and pineapple are my two favourite fruits, so I'd eat that in a heartbeat! :P

Also, your mention of weaponry in connection with fruit has now got my brain reciting the Blackadder Goes Forth skit about Edmund saving his superior officer from a "viciously sharp slice of mango". Go figure. :P

That really does look awesome. I would add in cucumber with the strawberries as they go really well together. The choc-dipped ones on the website, doesn't look as appealing though.
