Crystal Towers 2 - The day before
Jun. 9th, 2011 09:44 pmI really can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to getting my life back. I've been playing this blasted game for at least four hours a night every night this week and have just scraped my way to approaching the 100% mark - at this point I'm going to take it for granted that everything's as completable as it always has been on previous occasions. The only thing keeping me going now is remembering that people new to the game won't be anywhere near as phenomenally fed up of it as I am right at this moment.
Despite having been at this for the last eternity, I'm still paranoid and have been testing and re-testing every little change I've made along the way, even though I haven't been making any modifications that would have far-reaching consequences. I'm sure that somebody's going to find something crippling anyway in the first five minutes of downloading it, but I can at least eliminate some possibilities of what that might be.

I've put a provisional ZIP up, and a request in to activate my Fastspring account. If I don't find anything between now and when that goes through, then this thing is ready to be released upon the world. And not a moment too soon.

Date: 2011-06-10 02:37 pm (UTC)I did have my two-year head start of faffing about with it, although making a game is definitely a multi-discipline event, of the actual game logic, writing, music, graphics... everything. I'm looking forward to the results of your own labours just as much!
And as for knowing what it's like not to have something hanging over your head, not likely ;) After this I've got to blow the dust off Boxplode, not to mention the music I have half-finished, the Track the T iPhone application, and so on...
(Regarding the edit: oops!)
