Further biscuit supplies
Dec. 17th, 2011 09:02 pmHaving been in sore need of some familiar comforts recently, I was amazed when this parcel arrived from my parents in addition to the Christmas presents that we knew they were sending over. It felt a lot heavier than it looked, because it was crammed to the brim with these:

These were added to the Fox range (terrible news channel - great biscuits, though) at some point in the last couple of years, and they're made of some sort of honeycomb-like substance with chocolate spread on one side. They, like most of their biscuits, are absolutely wonderful - and unlike the Creams, these ones have the added bonus that my weird friends can't make any dirty jokes about their name.

Date: 2011-12-18 07:31 pm (UTC)I guess the really odd thing is, I've always adored all the things on that list of what sets trypophobes off; in fact, Crunchie bars (or at least the Canadian ones) tend to taste rather bitter, as though someone did a poor job adapting a good recipe to use inferior ingredients (which is often the case with canadian versions of european candies, alas), but I've always adored it just for that texture.
I feel like this is an interesting potential conversation, but I'm not sure if it's one you'd want to have, let alone whether David's poor journal is the place for it :P
