Fallen Chronicles: Absolute Zero - Part 4

This episode starts off with a great line and just keeps on getting better! It sees the mystery come to a climax, with budgiebin embroiled in an epic confrontation with herself (I'm glad that we can make up for her having about eight lines in total during the Bad Boys' Love route). This is another moment when we demonstrate that we have by far the absolute flukiest casting ever - every single voice instantly becomes the only way we can ever see the character, and - as we find out in this chapter - more appropriate than we ever could have dared to guess. As usual, we could already guess the idea of what this game was hinting at, but to have guessed the whole story would have taken a lot of time and a certain amount of drugs.

And towards the end, there's one of the best realization moments ever when ravenworks suddenly becomes aware of what he's being asked to read.

I do have about five minutes of video still lying around, but it would more sensibly be part of the next chapter we do. As to when that might exist, I'm really not sure - I was in the middle of typing this sentence last night, and I swear I'd just written "if the power goes off" when the power went off. It's back now, though - so if it stays that way me and budgiebin, then we might be recording another one today. Otherwise we'll have to wait until Boston rebuilds itself from the debris of former civilization.

Um, David? In the next part of the game, there'll be a character, he'll be drawn instead of being a photo, and it must be you who voices him, not any of the others. It has to be that way.

Quite ominous indeed. However I'd be inclined to offer that role to Xaq or Ravenworks first, since they've got far less roles than David, Teo and myself!

Considering the frequency of his showing in the stories and his hosting the Radio segments, Ryouta's a sizable enough role to offset the lack of quantity.

That, and if it's the character I'm thinking it is, I don't want it.

If you're going by what you put in our Tumblr's about page and treating every role equally (flat one point for everything, including the half-ones like Okosan's cooing and the smaller parts like Leone and Albert,) technically Xaq, Raven, and David are all in a three-way tie for fewest roles at three apiece, and you and I are tied for most with five each. Obviously those need to be weighted a bit, but the question of how is a bit more subjective, especially since not all chapters are equal. (For example, Raven's three roles probably got more screen time in this chapter than my five did, because one of his was Anghel.) It's a little subjective and heuristic, but right now I feel like Xaq currently has the smallest collection of parts overall, followed by David. (Though, again, the fact that we just got off of Anghel's chapter is probably skewing the hell out of my role size perception of David vs. Raven.)

Well, like I said in my previous comment, Ryouta tends to make up the deficit simply by volume of stage presence. If nothing else, I can sum up why I'm not short on screen time in one acronym: BBL.

Yes, so far the weighting has been surprisingly good (for being completely blind!), and the people who don't get to speak a lot one week seem to always make up for it the next, or in the bonus sections like Ryouta running the radio sections. I would love to do this new character based on the little I know of him, but it could be that Kazuaki and Shuu and Dapperbeaks suddenly make up the majority of the storyline in the third part! As always, we'll play it by ear... it seems to have worked indescribably well for us so far :)

Well, just going off the law of averages, I'm willing to bet this next segment will have a somewhat higher Nageki content, if only because he's shown up...what, twice so far, including his shrine scene?

That's actually a really good point and I completely derped.
