State of the Pigeon

I have two hundred subscribers. More accurately, you - kjorteo, ravenworks, budgiebin, xaq - have two hundred subscribers, becase I'm well aware that about a hundred and ninety-nine of those are for the Hatoful broadcasts and the remainder are for the channel's original intended purpose (which is still stated in the description even though Hatoful videos outnumber normal videos at least two to one). We have one hundred thousand views, with about three hundred being added every day.

We have a Tumblr for the effort, with a name decided not by us but by consensus among the fans that we picked up during this bizarre project. They are decorating themselves with this name. They are creating fanart of us. (I am very pleased to have been gifted quite such a generous amount of hair.)

In all my endeavours on the Internet, in music, games and everything... this is the one that's taken off. My friends feed is now almost exclusively a complete pigeonfest. It's captured us, it's captured people who listened to us or even discovered the game through us... I would never, ever have guessed that I would enjoy being part of it quite so much.

God, I've only had the tumblr for like 3 days and it's already starting to snowball. xD Not counting team members, we've got 23 followers and we get a few more every time a new video appears. The praise keeps coming in.

Do you get any way to see where hits are coming from? It'd be interesting to see if we spiked at all because of tumblr.

I should probably post those nails in the morning~

There is an Analytics feature (which tells me that our audience is made up of about 80% teenage girls) - I'll keep an eye on it!

Every "I just wanted to add in the chorus of how much I love you guys" ask the Tumblr gets makes me make the shocked Bulbasaur face even more than the one before it did, not because they're escalating in how fawning they are (although some were doing that, too,) but because of the sheer number of them. I knew we were starting to pick up more and more fans, but ... but....

(And then you get to the part where people are painting their nails and drawing fanart of us and I just ... but....)

I legitimately used this in all its engrish glory just a few nights ago! I don't know if we ever translated this properly, but it's essentially "eat or be eaten" which I thought was interesting to include in a pigeon world full of prey animals.
