Date: 2013-04-11 10:34 am (UTC)When I had breakfast on Tuesday, my host said he'd met her once. The general reaction seems to be that people are a bit awestruck that she's gone. (Except for those who were partying in George Square, etc.) But the most important thing is that no-one's been able to deny that her legacy's controversial, and that she did terrible things.
She was for Pol Pot and the Khymer Rouge and against Mandela. That says enough, I think.
