This is Pink Hour, the charming new demo game from Pixel. It consists mostly of me screaming and serves as evidence that I need to be on anti-anxiety medication.

I did the same thing with Cave Story, until someone insisted that I needed to see it through past the first screen. I did it this time too, but remembering how Cave Story turned out made me decide to give it another chance. By the end I could clear Pink Hour without shooting!

Cave Story's Sacred Grounds is a lot like that.

First time you see the first screen: ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS

Half an hour later: Okay, I almost made it far enough for the screen to scroll!

An hour later: *Does the entire first segment blindfolded just for coordination practice because he needs to save his HP for the endboss*

Given how much of a cheating bastard I was at Cave Story, I can't say this is particularly helpful to me.

*shrugs* What can I say, if I'm interested enough in a game's story, I'm not going to let difficulty get in the way of my enjoyment. In this particular case, I've already seen the game's story courtesy of David, so the only reason I'd have to play it myself is if I enjoy it...and with that crappy-ass control scheme, I just flat-out don't.
