I am going to challenge that statement and say ten years and 21 days, providing you saw it on the date of release. If not, then less than 10 years and 21 days, so somewhat of a concept.

I always thought that was a reference to the characters on the box, more so than the comic creator. But maybe I'm wrong?

Let's see ... Pac-Man originally came out in 1980 (making him 34 as of the writing of this comment), Frogger came out in 1981 (making him 33), and Dig Dug originally came out in 1982 (making him 32.) If this comic is really ten years old, then either I am wrong about this being about them, or the creator was actually jumping the gun and a little early, to call them thirty when they were still in their early-mid twenties!

Which makes me feel a little better; if Dig-Dug was actually forty now then I would have had to start looking into retirement homes into which I could check myself.

An in-depth and thought-out answer, as I should have expected from you :) You're not far off, I discovered the site in 2005 or so and decided then and there that I would post this when I turned 30!
