davidnWhat a very interesting lab period. After titrating performing titrations for a while, the last part of the experiment was heating up the product and testing it.
Attempt 1: Heated test tube. It formed a cloudy black substance that was apparently a high explosive, and I was lucky it didn't go off.
Attempt 2: Heated test tube. It blew up.
Attempt 3: In a stroke of genius, scraped remains of product from 2 in to another test tube and performed tests on that. It worked.
At least I'm now an entire lab period ahead of time, and am free to go to the wedding tomorrow. Hooray!
