I would have done another dull-graph for the snoreathon that was the lecture this morning, but I feel that the boredom value would be immeasurable throughout. Afterwards I decided to go and get a haircut to prevent my brain from overheating.

I'm always rather nervous about the barber on South Street. He seems rather threatening, and certainly not the kind of person that you want to hold sharp things near your head for too long. The advantage, though, is that he doesn't stick to his price list and just says that "Oh, £4 will do", or however much. As I was sitting there being baldified, I was just thinking that being a barber must be the easiest job ever - well, provided you only do hair like I have mine. Run a shaver over someone's head for five minutes and then charge them for it.

Afterwards I went in to the Union, where I met up with Paul, Mark and the people from Chemistry. Phil and Graeme have a flat, and Greg has got in to New Hall, happily for him, as he can just step off his doorstep and in to his classes.

My laundry's in the dryer just now. Let's hope that the repairs have as much as an effect on them as we all did on the Melville management, if not more.

I found out once a reason why John the barber might often seem scary.

Me: Albany Park. We're a different kind of student down there.
John: Oh. You mean you're normal people.
