Well, for dinner tonight Richard and I went to Empire again, this time selecting a Hot 'n' Spicy pizza - 16", no less. Trouble is, the Empire's quantity of spice in their pizzas seems to jump from "not really very spicy at all" (Spicy Chicken) to "unbelievably hot" (the aforementioned pizza, even though I took the pepperoni off). That wasn't a pizza, it was a thermonuclear device.
Afterwards we finally got together in real life and did something for a change instead of just sitting around in the chatroom, namely playing Monopoly - all the Melvillites except Paul, but he wandered in later with Gillian - who is now engaged, so congratulations to her.
I was out of the game very quickly, shortly after having to pay £1150 to stay in a hotel - Richard saved me there - and sort of stood around watching other people drop out.
I think I've safely forgotten all the acids that I learned now.

Date: 2003-05-18 05:09 am (UTC)Sorry about that, it was a slight(!) mistake brought on by:
1) The names start in the same way.
2) It was late (for me).
3) I'm an idiot, as no doubt Paul will already have noticed.
So congratulations to Gingerbeer. I mean Gillian.
