I have a confession to make. It's rather awful, so I'll get it out of the way first.

This morning at work, while I idly made unlikely sandwiches, Northsound One stopped their endless barrage of hideously embarrassing adverts to play some music. To my surprise I thought the song that came on was rather good, my immediate thought being that it sounded rather like Crush 40 (a Japanese band that write for Sega quite a lot). They're good enough to have a place on my playlist, but my brother's more a fan of theirs than I am.

No band or song name was mentioned, so I noted down a couple of fragments of lyrics that I'd heard - most were rather unintelligible because the radio we have was built in about 1800 - so that I could Google them when I got home. That I did, and to my utter horror I have just discovered that the song I had quite enjoyed was in fact "Thunderbirds Are Go" by Busted.

I cannot apologise enough. I will now flagellate myself daily while listen to real decent music (and learn to play the guitar) until I get all memory of this event out of my system.

Oh, and the reason for the title of this post? It's Audi's little soundbite, and they also had an advert on Northsound One today. But the incredibly non-German woman on it pronounced it more like "Vore sprung dirk tech nick", which irritated me immensely.

There's nothing wrong with liking unlikely cheesy pop. my brother hates me for things like that, but if its good then what does it matter who its by.

northsound 1 is cool, but i haven;'t listened to it for years (which may shape my opinion a bit). do they still do beat the bishop, or spank the monkey?

and German should be easy to pronounce if you're scottish, but i suppose that a lot depends on knowing what you have to say.
