Academic families - Taste the rainbow
Sep. 12th, 2004 12:09 amQuite contrary to my dislike of academic families through first and (to a lesser extent) second year, I have got myself an academic daughter before my third year has even begun. She MSNed me after seeing my post about my liking of Skittles, the little rainbow-coloured sugary toothrot-nuggets that nearly ate away my entire collection of teeth during secondary school. Let's hope it goes well - Raisin Weekend won't even be a problem, as she drinks as much as I do (or less).
So,
gr33bo and possibly
prophettenebrae and whoever else may claim to have my parenthood, you're now (an) academic grandparent(s). I think some, more, none or fewer of you may have been anyway. The whole idea is most confusing - fitting for a university that is also home to St Andrews IT Services.
