Strange resemblance to the Hallowed Be Thy Name lyrics there.

Yesterday's activities included a game of Quake - we've managed to get four players in it now, but if we're to get beyond that I'll have to send nova the instructions for setting up the game to support more than four... It's awkward like that. Kids these days, you've got it easy.

Then, of course, we quested out for a pizza (chicken and bacon again), and to the second Matrix film again. As before, I sort of blanked the plot out, despite Richard explaining his opinions on it all the way home. We stayed to watch the trailer for the third film this time as well - which looked pretty good, but nothing really special as yet.

I got up for breakfast this morning, then as is traditional, I realised just how little I knew about the CH1004 exam, so I did some last minute revision on base pairs, amino acids and bromonium ions. Lunch was very good, especially with the appearance of my hilarious pear (which as Anna rightly pointed out looked like the illicit offspring of a pear and a banana). After that Anna came round to borrow my gown to go to the castle with Sleigh. Gregory and I met them on the way up to the exam.

And not a _single_ one of the topics I'd revised turned up in the actual exam. I think it's fair to say I was 0WN3D by it, it couldn't have been less successful if it had been the Charge of the Light Brigade (but without the Russians of course). As far as I remember, there was only one question that I could answer completely confidently, and it was worth 10 marks. I noticed Chris (Punk Rocker Chris, not Punmaster Chris) pretty much read through the exam paper then leave as soon as the compulsory half hour was up - fortunately, everyone else seemed to think it as bad as I did. We went to the Tudor Inn for a while for post-exam discussion, then on the way back to the hall I finally picked up my lab coat, which is now on my bed giving off noxious fumes.

After dinner, we would have watched The Simpsons if it wasn't for the people with the remote at the front watching decidedly awful music videos. Fair enough if you're actually watching something else, but not three-second snatches of music. <¦-(

It's nice to know that the worst is over now, and that Computing will be easy - well, it had better be, I've done exactly no revision for it. And tomorrow my first year will be over. Frightening.
