"Forever" sounds an incredibly boy-band-ish name for a song if you ask me.

I actually went to the CH1004 revision lecture, where no one understood anything at all... it would be good if the lecturer managed to perceive that no one had any idea what he was talking about. CH1006 is marginally better, and we've got all the material needed for the presentation tomorrow. In fact, today, but that's not important.

What is important is that I've finished all the practicals for this year - yes, I got my head round the Computing one at last, and the "WongNet" server is running on Benromach Port 17294 as I type this out. At least, it had better be, or it's bad news for me. Still, I've got enough marks in the earlier ones to easily pass the practical side of the course.

That didn't take as long as I expected, so I had some time without working before dinner. The meal itself was good, as far as gelatinous congealed masses of carbonara and unidentified meat substance can be considered good. After that we watched The Simpsons for the first time in absolutely ages, and it was just as well because the second episode was one of the best episodes that I've ever seen. The Tetris bit would have been good enough on its own.

As is traditional, we went to the Union to listen to the karaoke and shout at each other above the noise. Anna had brought the cards again, and Paul and I played a quick game of Spit... which I almost had the upper hand in until he remembered all the rules and began beating me rather tragically.

I met Chemistry Paul and his girlfriend there as well, and stayed with them for a bit before returning to the group. The air-hockey table was well used - and I was well and truly hammered, thrashed and indeed PWN3D by Richard, who beat me 7-0. I had a try of the "Gunblade" machine as well, which is essentially Time Crisis but played with an insanely large air-to-ground Gatling gun, or something. The vibrating action of it is comparable to holding an extremely bad-tempered pneumatic drill. That must be why it's taking so long to type this, although the huge amount of content can't help either.

Later on in the evening, more Sinner people arrived. It's a selfish thing to say, and perhaps based on jealousy alone, but when I'm surrounded by couples I feel a bit of a failure... it's something I've been feeling more and more in the past couple of days, although I'm not sure why. Anyway, I got up and had a go on the Thrill Drive 2 machine instead of just sitting there miserably.

Now, let me tell you, that game really scared me when I played it in Aberdeen, a few days before I was due to take my driving test. Violence in games usually doesn't bother me, but I've never played any other game that so realistically depicts your own death. I've always had a fear of car/road accidents, possibly just because of being a new driver. Or maybe I'm just a big sissy.

Halfway through the game, I noticed that the acceleration pedal had got jammed or something, making my top speed about 120km/h... and that was downhill. So it was more like Sim Sunday Driver than Thrill Drive, although I've been told by my friends that that's how I drive anyway. I got a grand total score of 0.

Soon after that, the karaoke ended and a few of us walked (or skipped, in some cases) to the KFB for food - Sleigh and Paul being very amusingly drunk, Anna and I bringing up the rear. On the way back, Paul photographed a couple on the grass bank near the Physics building. Just in case you're wondering where that one came from.
