Well, Kai Hansen wrote a song about a pinball machine. These Germans, eh? No, I don't know what the title means either.
I have no idea why I bothered doing this, but I slept after my alarm went off and woke up at 9:50. Deciding that I'd better go to the 10:00 lecture in the Physics building, I got dressed and ready in record time and made it well before it started - exactly six people bothered to turn up. After that, I strolled down to Chemistry and got the CH1006 presentation prepared. Our blu-tak snail was stolen, and is probably now holding up half the posters in the lab.
I went along with the Melvillites to the Central for lunch again, and survived my second Double Double Cheese 'n' Bacon Super Grease-Filled Fat Bastard Burger... the smoke there bothered me a bit, though. Why anyone would choose to smoke is beyond me. I'll never understand you humans.
Anyway - Paul, Chris and I went in to "Amusements" after that... it was the first time I'd been in there. Won a whole 10p from one of those sliding... thing machines, then lost abysmally on the Silent Scope game, which is even worse than Pharoah's Tomb in the Union. Like the pool game that Chris was playing, though, it seems so easy to win if you just have one more try.
They had Tekken Tag Tournament as well, which Paul beat me decisively at. I was getting bogged down in trying to use the more technical moves, while he just button-bashed, which is a far superior tactic. I finally remembered King's throws around dinner time - it's so much easier to use a controller than the arcade controls.
We also went to the Union to vote (as part of the "Yes" campaign - we had been accosted by a campaigner on the way up, and didn't keep up making fun of it for long enough). Still, it seemed worthwhile. Also, finally got a poster for my wall, so it no longer looks like I'm in an asylum - although in some ways maybe I should be. It's the "Know Your Road Signs" one, which is now tacked firmly to my non-fire-risk pinboard.
This is a long entry, isn't it? I've been going for ages and only got to three o'clock. Have a download as an interlude, it'll play in WinAmp.

At three I went back to Chemistry, leaving Paul and Chris going back to the hall, to do the poster presentation. It went very well, and there was a real "last day of school" atmosphere to it - still in the lab, but very much more relaxed and just having a laugh really.
By the time I got back it was dinner time, and I didn't eat much due to drinking far too much... er... apple juice at the presentation. At the customary time of 8:30 (well, in fact slightly later if you want to be pedantic), we went to the Union.
Most of the time I was in the games room - Paul and I heroically completed Gunblade and were rewarded with a rubbish end sequence, then failed rather miserably at Confidential Mission, the world's worst-named game (apart from Zzyzzyxx, of course, and no I'm not making that up). Also found a couple of secrets in Thrill Drive 2 - a Formula 1 car and Mirror Mode - but have no idea how I got them. I partially redeemed myself by beating Richard 7-3 at air hockey, but then he came back by beating me 7-5... still a respectable score.
My arms are really sore - must have been the massive machine guns on the Gunblade machine. The pistols on the machine next to it felt really wimpy after those, I can tell you.
Anyway, more importantly Donald has come back for the weekend, so we saw him briefly in the Union and got photo evidence of it. My Lecture Glasses did the rounds as well for a bit, I can't believe I bothered putting them together.
So, have I finished? I think so. Might not update again for a while as I'm going home tomorrow afternoon, but see you all in the middle of next week.
