I have to admit that thanks to my Inverurie education, I had never even heard of Montsegur or Paschendale before buying this album. Perhaps it's because I never did any History. Iron Maiden - it's a real education. Or that might have been the University of Abertay, I can't really remember.

There was another trip to Aberdeen last night. Nothing special - just playing pool for about two hours after eating at Grease Burger King.

I was paid £5.20 by my youngest brother to type up his 700-word essay for him. While going through it, I couldn't help noticing that he'd included the term "crazy-go-nuts". The boy's mad. Nevertheless, I left it in there. Maybe it'll liven it up a bit for Mr Knox (a teacher I once had myself, who's so boring that his voice alone can drill holes in bits of wood).

Actually I've just noticed this in the Dance of Death booklet:

This CD is carbonneutral. Carbon dioxide is one of the main reasons for global warming. Future Forests calculate the amount of CO2 produced in the production and distribution of this CD. Iron Maiden and Future Forests will plant enough trees to re-absorb this amount of CO2. If you are interested in planting a tree in the Iron Maiden forest go to www.futureforests.com/ironmaiden

Well, that's nice to know.
