More work?

It's more than a little ironic that the time when The Sinner went crazy and decided to show a list of blank threads (started in 1970, the first moment in history, when the almighty Unix created Heaven and Earth and incomprehensible commands) was also the time that the most threads were created, with at least a full page worth of people asking where it had gone - hoping, as I did when I started my own, that it would somehow appear on the main page by itself. For a while it felt quite special being one of the few who bothered to find the latest threads by trial and error and post on them during the confusion, but I suppose that says more about the lack of better things I have to do than anything else.

I'd forgotten how much I liked the first classes of modules, the ones where the lecturers waste half an hour going through the marking and assessment schemes, then everything is nice and easy and you think you know it all already. Unfortunately, Logic was not one of these, and it turns out that I have an essay that I'm supposed to be doing already. The subject this time is The History and Use of Formal Methods, which almost tops The Abundance of Heavy Elements for the impossibility of squeezing four pages out of it. I'm sure it won't be long before the rest of the modules go the same way. Now that I know I should be doing something, my plan of going to the Union games room every afternoon this week is... well, entirely unchanged.

This is pretty funny if you've got a sense of humour like mine. (If you don't, you should be glad of it.) How appropriate that Sega's second last console was called the Genesis, as the Dreamcast was their Exodus. Hah, I amaze myself sometimes.
