davidn: (skull)

All right, so maybe Databases won't be as easy as I thought. That new projector at the front of the lab has given me some ideas, though - mostly involving my laptop and a Genesis emulator. The good news is that I've just about recovered from the sheer mass of pancakes I had yesterday at The Eating Place, and can move around unaided once more.

In fact, after having met [livejournal.com profile] gr33bo in the Union in the afternoon, I think I'm getting a little better at DDR. I've now passed the ridiculously lengthily titled Can't Stop Falling In Love (Speed Mix) (Expert) followed by Max 300 (Difficult) without actually dying. ([livejournal.com profile] danii_ellie commented on how red I looked after dinner three hours later, though, so obviously it's not exactly an easy task yet.) Eleanor's going to be organising another competition soon for Comic Relief. It may even be broadcast on the TVs throughout the Union so that people can laugh at the tragic geekiness of it all.

The mystery of why I have a line in my notepad that says "FIVE? (1:4) X" continues. It's odd that I can remember things very clearly that I don't intend or want to without any help, but whenever I write a reminder to myself down the idea vanishes instantly.
