I can only guess that these emails, which have arrived in my inbox over the last couple of months, are from a regular user of Track the T who sometimes doesn't quite turn his phone off before putting it in his pocket, and the subsequent vibrations produced as the bus rattles along result in the link of my name being clicked and random characters being touched in a form of modern expressionist Ouija-board-style art. It's great to know that people actually use something I wrote so regularly - though not exactly a great advert for the iPhone.

Still better than 2 of the last 3 phones I ever owned.

T-Mobile Sidekick III (shows how often I update phones) - Frequently butt-dialed 911.
Current phone (no clue what model it is) - Has a screen-lock feature that cancels itself out so easily it's beyond pointless, demands I do a 20-minute touchscreen calibration test every other day.

The little Nokia brick I owned between the two was the best one I ever had, and it was basically the most bare-bones thing in the universe. No touchscreen, no downloadable ANYTHING, no games except for a couple of dice games (including a "roll up to 6 dice, see what pops up" that technically wasn't a game...and yet inspired me to make one out of it), no apps of any use except a calculator, a conversion program for weight and temperature, and a music program that let you record up to 5 little 1-bit ditties on it...which was, quite honestly, my favorite thing about it.

I'd still have it if the screen hadn't been destroyed some time back, and since my folks are paying the bill for it due to being on their plan, my mom decided to get the POS I have now (same model she has). Why? Because it can text.

I think it might be safe to say that technological progress has jumped the shark. :b

Those can spell a long, drawn-out, error-ridden call for “Ryūji”, if suitably reordered. That leads me to imagine “emails from a certain someone's beak having trouble with the capacitive touchscreen” (this is probably why most of them don't have smartphones).

That's fantastic, but the first one may have been within an ace of summoning an Elder God...
