One can never have too much information. Just think of the blackmail opportunities. Which - in this case- as he has told everyone, are limited. But as a general principle. If one can have principles over blackmailing.

2) Make sure everyone knows what you have done.
Well, I suppose there is the third option of killing everyone in the know. Not including yourself, of course. But that does limit the scope for future escapades.
